voodoo laksa tour

The Voodoo Laksa Tour brings two powerhouses of Australian Hip Hop together to perform their potent, political, poetic music across the country hitting up Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Darwin.

Birdz will be performing from his critically acclaimed album “Train of Thought” while rapper/poet/author Omar Musa will be bringing to life his latest album “Since Ali Died.”

Individually, the artists’ are untouchable – together they are a force to be reckoned with and are ready to turn the world upside down with their craft.

The unmissable event will further cement the two rappers into the thriving Australian hip hop scene, proving that there couldn’t be a better time for fresh music.

BIRDZ has solidified his spot as one of the most exciting acts in the Australian hip-hop scene. The N.T raised rapper has secured strong backing from a growing legion of fans, lending to the Butchulla emcee’s increasing popularity and support for his debut album release ‘Train of Thought’, released in August 2017 via Bad Apples Music.

Birdz’ consistent track record of releases has seen him share the stage with high profile acts such as Briggs, The Funkoars, Akala and the Thundamentals. He is also supporting Loyle Carner on his upcoming tour down-under.

The unapologetic rapper, poet and author Omar Musa has been making waves with his movement. Omar is a Malaysian-Australian rapper and poet from Queanbeyan, Australia. He is the former winner of the Australian Poetry Slam and the Indian Ocean Poetry Slam.

Just recently Omar released “Since Ali Died,” an album of intensely personal and political songs and poems. The album is based around the idea that ever since his childhood hero Muhammad Ali died, Omar Musa feels like his life fell apart: loved ones died and got locked up, he found love and lost it, he lost his sanity, he saw a tangerine fascist take hostage of the world.
